MOSCOW, RUSSIA / RankWire.AI / – Russia’s non-resource, non-energy exports exceeded $96 billion in January through July 2026, up 8% from the same period last year. First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov reported the year-on-year increase in the latest update on Russian exports. The category excludes the country’s traditional raw-material and energy shipments. The seven-month result follows growth recorded during the first half of 2026. The confirmed figures are denominated in U.S. dollars.

Industry and Trade Minister Anton Alikhanov said small and midsize businesses generated $15.9 billion of the seven-month export total. That represents roughly 17% of Russia’s non-resource, non-energy exports during the period. About 42,700 small and midsize companies currently participate in export activity. SMEs also accounted for 1,042 of 1,341 applications submitted for the 2026 Exporter of the Year awards. Applicants represented 76 Russian regions across all eight federal districts.
Separate first-half data showed Russia’s industrial non-resource, non-energy exports reached $58.8 billion in January through June. The comparable figure for the first half of 2025 was $57.1 billion. That represented year-on-year growth of about 3% for the industrial export segment. The Industry and Trade Ministry identified several manufacturing categories that recorded higher foreign sales. Those figures provide additional detail on the sectors contributing to Russia’s non-resource export performance during 2026.
Industrial shipments record growth across key sectors
Chemical product exports increased 5.3% during the first half compared with the same period in 2025. Mineral and chemical fertilizer shipments grew 10.4% over the six-month period. Exports from metallurgy and precious metals increased 5%, while light industry recorded growth of 25%. Pharmaceuticals, perfumes and cosmetics posted an 11% increase. The figures cover industrial shipments included within Russia’s non-resource, non-energy export classification. All reported growth rates compare January through June 2026 with the corresponding period last year.
For full-year 2026, Russia has set a non-resource, non-energy export target of $155.25 billion. Industrial goods account for $116.95 billion of that annual benchmark. Russia recorded $163.7 billion in non-resource, non-energy exports during 2025. The 2026 target is therefore about 5% below the previous year’s recorded total. The targets form part of the country’s International Cooperation and Export national project, which covers industrial goods, agricultural products and export-support infrastructure.
Russia maintains longer-term non-resource export targets
The International Cooperation and Export project also sets a 2030 benchmark for non-resource and non-energy merchandise exports. The government lists a target of $248.1 billion in nominal terms for that year. That level corresponds to a 67% increase compared with the 2023 baseline used by the program. Industrial goods account for $192.9 billion of the 2030 benchmark. The Russian Export Center participates in the support system, including digital services designed for companies conducting international trade.
The latest data place Russia’s January through July non-resource, non-energy exports above $96 billion, with SMEs contributing $15.9 billion. First-half industrial exports reached $58.8 billion and recorded growth across chemicals, fertilizers, metals, light industry and pharmaceutical-related products. Russia’s confirmed 2026 figures use U.S. dollars rather than rubles for these export values. The annual target remains $155.25 billion for the broader non-resource category. Industrial goods carry a separate full-year benchmark of $116.95 billion.
